Bute has some wonderful beaches and regardless of the weather a beach is a marvellous place at any time of the year. Here are 5 beaches around Bute that are well worth investigating. 1. Ettrick Bay This massive beach is over a mile long and  low tide exposes a huge expanse of flat sand. So flat that light planes are known to land on it.
