Screenshot 2014-03-26 09.54.33To celebrate the millenium a new walking route was inaugurated on Bute in 2000 by none other than Janet Street Porter who was the then President of the Ramblers Association. The West Island Way (see what we did there) is an island length footpath of around 40km and can be tackled by most walking enthusiasts – in fact you can split it into 4-5 comfortable walks. If you want to see the whole island and admire the fabulous views across the Clyde you can’t beat this for a ramble.
